Where I visit
Community visits.
Occupational therapy that meets you where you're at, translating skills learned in therapy into real-life contexts.

Therapy doesn't have to happen within four walls. Some of the most meaningful moments for young people happen out in the community. The busy playground, the local café, the shopping centre or the community hub. These environments are where everyday skills naturally come to life, including sensory processing, transitions, social connection and motor planning.
Community visits allow us to meet in these spaces intentionally, using real-life experiences to build confidence, independence and skills in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to you or your child.
What a community visit looks like.
Sessions in real-world settings chosen with you, from quiet local spots to shops, libraries, cafés and community hubs
Practical work on daily living skills in the community, from regulation and sensory processing to social connection, transitions and confidence
Strategies you and your child can carry into everyday routines, school runs, appointments, family outings and weekends
A short carer debrief so you know what to keep practising between sessions
For children accessing community-based services, caregivers are asked to stay nearby so they can support their child's safety if needed. Beyond that, caregivers are welcome to be as involved in the session as their child would like.
Community visits are arranged based on your child's goals and the settings most relevant to your family. Email Tamsyn with what you'd like to work on and your preferred area so we can plan together.
